News: Update On 80 EYF

Nordhavn is currently working on the customized 80 Expedition Yacht Fisher (EYF) a spin-off/modified version of the 75 EYF. The California deck is three feet longer. To ensure the Cali Deck is covered the upper deck has been lengthened by four-feet. There was also lengthening of the Fishing cockpit with an additional two-feet. The engine room has grown slightly by two-feet and three-feet added to the lazarette. Rudders and props were moved further aft for a quieter, smoother ride as on the N80/96/100 models.

Here is a look at the progress on N80EYF. These are recent photos according to the yard as of late-January 2026. The N80 EYF is a custom project essentially for a repeat customer of the yard who previously ran the Nordhavn 75 EYF. Clearly needing a bit more space, the N80 EYF was born. The previous vessel built in 2009 was called "Sockeye Blue" so this potentially could give insight into the name of the new vessel.

According to Nordhavn Chief of Design Jeff Leishman, the owner “loved his boat but after seven years of ownership, he felt like he needed a little more space. Essentially he wanted us to bump out the back to increase the length and give him more space in the upper part of the California deck. Primarily it was to give more clearance between the doorway and the seating area, but he had other things he wanted to tweak,” Leishman continued.

Some basic specs for the new boat include a length overall of 24.4-meters with a beam of 6.8-meters and a draft of 2.1-meters. The N80 EYF is likely to be a one-off build but the yard will surely leave the option open to future customers. Initial plans called for operations in the Oceania region of the world. So with delivery the new yacht is expected to enjoy her premiere season in the waters of Fiji, New Caledonia and Vanuatu.
