  1. Silver Yachts Building Third SpaceCat
While all of the attention is on the current first hull in the SpaceCat 36 line (aptly called "Spacecat"), Silver Yachts is plugging away on the construction of the second and the third hull. Yes there is a third hull presently in build at the Australian builder. That hull is expected to be completed by third quarter of 2024. That should be able to give you a decent idea when the second hull should launch.
  2. True to Silver Yacht's preference, the yacht is being manufactured in aluminium and the SpaceCat will carry the space-saving Volvo-Penta engines, four of them. These should permit a top speed in the region of 21-knots with a fast cruising speed of 16-knots. It should have a five-cabin layout to sleep up to ten guests. The three decks internally creates an internal volume of 478 GT.
  3. This yacht like the first hull will be of similar dimensions and therefore have a 36-meter LOA and a healthy beam of 13.6-meters (45-feet). In terms of the design, the exterior is the same as the first hull which is by Espen Oeino. Features about the SpaceCat include a variable-height swim platform which the middle raises and lowers. In its lowered state it bridges the gap between the two hulls allowing for a wide swim platform. It can also be lowered into the water where guests can wade. Tender storage is on the aft sundeck where a RIB tender and PWC can be stowed. A dedicated crane is located there to facilitate launching and retrieval. On the main deck aft there is a pool for guest use.
