Another new yacht that was displayed at the recently held Palma International Boat Show was the Soel Senses 62. This is a 'power catamaran' but is totally electric. This one isn't on a platform that was using regular diesel engines before and was converted to an electric powertrain. The Soel Senses 62 was designed from the ground-up to be electric. The majority of the upper sunward-facing surfaces are covered in photovoltaic panels aiming to take advantage of every sunray and convert it to electricity.

The actual vessel wasn't at the show but a model of it was on display. The hardtop and the upper surfaces of the superstructure are covered in approximately 42 solar panels which are capable of 18.5 kWp. The electric powertrain provides near-silent cruising and when at anchor, the hotel load of the vessel is taken care of by the batteries which provide silent operations without the generator noise. The interior scheme is contemporary with the capability to have as many as 12 onboard.

Soel Yachts suggests the yacht has Trans-Oceanic range with a possible top speed of 14-knots but efficient cruising is around 8-10-knots. LOA is 18.8-meters with a beam of 10.3-meters, 0.96-meters is the draft on the two hulls. In this layout the vessel has two internal decks with the flybridge open but the yard is offering the model with an enclosed flybridge as well. It comes with galley-up or galley-down options too.
