Something new has just been unveiled by the Rossi Navi yard. It is called the 'Portofino 52' concept, a 499 GT and 52-meter superyacht. The design lines are a result of a collaboration between the shipyard and Team For Design. The yacht is envisioned to have many sought-after features like an outdoor cinema, beach club, cozy foredeck area with fireplace for ambience, a massive 130 square meter sundeck and a main pool on the aft main deck are some of the defining features onboard.

This yacht will carry a minimum of ten (10) guests in five (5) cabins. The master suite is the impressive abode aboard with space encompassing 50 square meters and can come in two arrangements for the client who purchases this yacht. One layout will focus on furnishing a large walk-in dressing room while the other has a bespoke owner's office.

With the tenders stored on the foredeck, forward of the outdoor cinema area, the aft lower deck has been purpose designed to house the beach club. Inside the beach club it is sunken more so for privacy of its occupants while still affording good views outward thanks to shell doors that open downward to the water on port and starboard. The aft transom door also lifts upward to further open up the space. The ceiling is punctuated with filtered natural lighting from the glass-bottom of the main pool above.

Forward of the bridge the foredeck is home to a cozy space which has been earmarked for the yacht's exterior cinema. A large U-shaped built-in seating region littered with comfortable throws and cushions envelope an ambience fireplace feature while a screen deploys from the foredeck for the projector to display on. Being open air, it is a great alternative to the sun deck area.

No hot tub is located on the sundeck but it has all the other relaxing features any modern-day superyacht should be designed with. A bar is to the fore of the sun deck space while under the hardtop structure is al-fresco dining to port and a chill settee arrangement set to starboard. The aft portion is open which no-doubt will be partially shaded with removable sun awnings. This space is reserved for loose furniture and loungers.

The Portofino 52 is not expressly fast but it uses its displacement hull to give a slice of both worlds for efficiency and power. This yacht will be powered by a pair of CAT C32 marine diesels which will run her to a top speed of 15-knots with an average cruising speed of 12-knots. At 10-knots her range increases to 4,000 nautical miles.
