  1. 55-meter Explorer Concept 'Maverick' Unveiled By Rossi Navi
Italian yard Rossi Navi presented it's design for the Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) and it is an explorer design called 'Maverick'. The vessel is on a 55-meter hull developed by Arrabito Naval Architects and the exterior design is by Gian Paolo Nari. The explorer yacht is envisioned to exist on four decks and since Maverick is touted as a luxury explorer detailed attention has been paid to both the interior as well as the external deck space environment.
  2. The sundeck for example, is packed with different seating areas for guests to take advantage of. Aft on the deck there is a sizable square jacuzzi that is flanked by sunpadded beds. Then further down there are sun loungers just ahead of a bar incorporated in the base of the main mast. You can also climb the ladder to access a small elevated platform area on the mast to take in the vistas uninterrupted while on an exploration mission. At the front of the platform there is seating for a couple persons. On the front of the sundeck there is more space for relaxation with addition of extra sunpads and seating areas paired with small tables.
  3. The interior is also specially designed using neutral and earthy tones coupled with sumptuous dark veiny African wood veneers. The composition really exudes a sophisticated atmosphere that is not expected on the typical explorer yacht. Below is an example of how the designers envisioned the main salon to appear. Maverick is an explorer yacht and therefore will have typical explorer credentials. Long range of 6,000 nautical miles is decent especially for a 55-meter yacht. She has the ability to support touch-and-go helicopter operations. The hull is ice strengthened to allow her to access more remote areas. Tender storage is sufficient to allow guests to venture away from the mothership for extended periods. As a reminder, this is just a concept yacht and not an actual project that is under construction. Rossi Navi however, does have their flagship yacht, the 70-meter Project 'King Shark' in build for delivery in 2020.
