  1. Project 'Zephyr' Presented At FLIBS By Rossi Navi
If you attended the recently concluded Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) you might have seen the new concept that Italian yard Rossi Navi presented there. It is called Project 'Zephyr' and it sports a strong, slender and retro-muscle car body of the 50s and 60s. The design is by Federico Fiorentino, a Milan-based designer who pulled ideas from his racing and powerboat design background to tease many of those elements and incorporate them into the new design.
  2. On the interior, the Zephyr project can accommodate as many as ten guests comfortably in her five cabin layout. Nine crew members are also on hand to look after guests and the daily operation of the yacht. She would be built from all aluminum on a fast displacement hull. Her LOA is 55-meters with an overall beam of 9.10-meters and a slim draft of just 2.00 meters. The interior design is by Alessandro Pulina. Below you are afforded a glimpse into the gorgeous interior put together by this designer. The deck spaces are phenomenal as this has been an area where emphasis was given. The beach club area isn't the typical space as we know it today but it offers a fold down transom and a 5-meter glass swimming pool for guests to use. Plenty deck space is afforded for sunning or stretching out on the sofas provided.
  3. One thing that can be said about the design is that it is sleek and fast. The hull is based on the patented Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) of Van Oossanen and is built for fast passages. She has been optimized to be a 32-knoter with a high cruising speed in the region of 28-knots. The engines envisioned to propel this yacht are a pair of MTU 16V 4000 M93Ls. While she has performance, she also has endurance and can cross the Atlantic if needed with a 3,400 nautical mile range at a continuous 12-knots.
