67-meter "Sparta" Launched

The 67-meter Project 'Sparta', now known as "Sparta" has been launched. She was built as YN20067 from steel making one of the largest steel yachts by the Dutch yard. The radical-looking design has been put together by Winch Design. The interior too is by Winch Design. The final design evolved out of the concept 'Avanti'. The exterior showcases multi-color paint finish featuring Venetian Red, Snow White and Anthracite accents.

10 guests will be able to sleep in five cabins. The spaces offer some flexibility dependent on what the owner needs. Four cabins are actually on the main deck with the forward two being able to be converted into a big VIP suite with the movement of a partition. Winch has the interior designed around three components, water on the lower deck, earth on the main deck and air on the upper deck. The main salon is actually full-beam onboard Sparta which is something typically not seen, usually there are walkways on either side of the saloon.

Special features onboard include a 65 sqm wellness center comprised of a number of expected facets to well-being. A gym, steam room, sauna and beauty area are all within this region on the lower deck. An open aft main deck showcases the main feature, the 6.5-meter long pool flanked by seating areas on either side and integrated wide-format steps lead down to the swim platform.

In terms of performance, the 1,200 GT vessel is powered by MTU engines which on paper should permit a 16-knot top end. 12-knots is going to be her economical cruising speed. Now that the yacht is launched sea trials will confirm many of the forecasted performance specs of this twin-screw vessel. The reverse bow, while striking will contribute significantly to the vessel's performance.
