  1. New 'Shade G50' Concept Released By PGYD Studio
Something new recently was revealed by PGYD Studio. It is for a 50-meter design and while the Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) may be finished for 2023, new designs from different design houses are still being released. The design of the new 'Shade G50' concept is targeting a younger crowd as their market. It is a hip design with style and intentional connections to the sea particularly on the aft decks.
  2. The beach club area on the vessel as a focal point blends into the main aft deck cockpit area. Bulwarks on the sides fold-down to increase the waterside atmosphere for the guests as well as overhead sliding shade system. This can either be retracted when sun is preferred or closed when it is too hot or rainy. And one thing to note, the design for the beach club is actually two-fold. There is the external beach club where the flush-deck plunge pool is and there is an internal component which features a lounge experience.
  3. The interior is open-plan but rather than the contemporary white-based interior, this one is envisioned with a dark timber floor with lighter tones on the walls and even teak on the ceiling with light strips weaved between. There is a formal dining table fit to seat ten easily and outside on the aft cockpit, guests can choose al-fresco dining. In terms of cabins onboard, there are cabins for 12 guests with the owner situated on the aft upper deck with a semi-private terrace. The other cabins are actually on the main deck and this allows for the engine room on the lower deck to be placed further forward to permit the space for the beach club. It also allows for the crew to move around more freely and potentially have larger cabins than usual on a 50-meter.
  4. This 49.3-meter vessel the designers say will reach 18-knots and cruise at 16-knots although no engine package was suggested. Guests sitting in the main salon will be able to enjoy the views outwards while cruising or sitting at anchor thanks to the full-height floor-to-ceiling windows available. Full details about this concept have not been divulged.
