The fifth hull in the Nordhavn N80 expedition series is well on her way. In June the company updated saying this specimen had made it to the test tank. Since then, after launching at the South Coast factory, the vessel was being prepared for shipping. It was to be placed on a vessel to be loaded and sent across the ocean to Dana Point, CA headquarters. Here she will undergo commissioning in preparation for delivery to her owner.

Nordhavn suggested that the new N80 will be offloaded in Ensenada this week. This will kickstart the next phase of the process where commissioning of the vessel will take place. As a reminder, the N80 model got started back in early 2021 when the first hull of the model went to the testing tank. That hull had a yellow-cream hull color and by August 2021 it arrived stateside in the United States where it made its debut in that year's FLIBS. Hull 8002 arrived stateside in early 2023.

The third N80 was delivered by Thanks Giving in 2023 and was named "Lady DI II". 2025 saw the delivery of the fourth N80 and she was called "Asturias". Now Nordhavn is on the cusp of being able to deliver the fifth hull. The fifth hull is supposed to have an interior by Vripack. The Dutch company worked with Nordhavn on the N41 model and has interior design options for the N80 model. Hull 5 will soon join the global cruising fleet of Nordhavns.
