N80 From Nordhavn Set To Give More Options

Nordhavn is introducing the new N80 which will be the perfect bridge between the N76 and the N86. It will be more than manageable for owners who are comfortable at that size bracket. The first hull is expected to be ready in 2019 as tooling has already begun according to the builder. "For some, an 86 is just too big," said vice president Jim Leishman. "At 80 feet, this boat will be that much more manageable."

There will be a couple of optional layouts available on this particular model for example that facilitates a master suite behind the bridge in place of the traditional sky lounge or the addition of a captain's cabin directly behind the wheelhouse. The standard version appears that it will have a four cabin layout with sleeping room for two crew members. We can expect that the interior will feature modern styling.

The Nordhavn N80 will be carrying a pair of John Deere 375 horsepower diesels. As expected from a Nordhavn, the N80 is will have long range thanks to relatively conservative consumption. Up to 5,000 GAL (that's just under 19,000 LT) will give her ocean-crossing range at a continuous 9 to 10-knots. The N80 development is well underway and the first hull should be available in 2019.
