News: Nordhavn N7102 Launched

Second Nordhavn N71 Launched

Pocket trawler/expedition yacht builder Nordhavn Yachts announced that they launched the second hull in the new N71 series. Hull 7102 is currently in the water and is expected to receive final factory finishing before heading on sea trials and testing. Once everything checks-out, then the second N71 will be loaded on a freighter to be shipped to Dana Point for commissioning.

The owners of this new N71 are repeat customers of the yard who sold their N68 to step-up to their new N71. The N71 is a hybrid of the semi-custom builds Nordhavn has been known for the past 30 years and the production style of the N41 and N51 models. The result is a gorgeous ocean-going yacht with the feel and personalization of a traditionally customizeable boat without the time and expense that goes along with bespoke builds.

While this new build is only the second hull, this will be one of the more popular yachts of the Nordhavn line going forward. "I think the Nordhavn 71 will ultimately be our most popular of the bigger size boats," said PAE President Dan Streech. The Nordhavn 71 is a brand new boat that will follow in the wake of the Nordhavn 80, providing her owners an elegant, modern, state-of-the-art passagemaking yacht.
