Mulder Announces Delivery Of "Q43"

Mulder today announced the official delivery of their latest build "Q43". The yacht was already under construction when it was sold to its owner, slightly reducing the wait time for the them. Having started build at Mulder Enkhuizen, construction went smoothly. The transfer for the latter construction and fit-out process happened at Mulder Zoeterwoude from around April last year. Now completed she showcases a Matterhorn white hull and sleek superstructure, this 297 GT yacht - like her sisterships - features naval architecture by van Oossanen and an exterior design by Claydon Reeves.

"Our brief was to create a home from home for a family new to yachting, who wanted all the adventure and touring possible. For real adventuring you need to get into all the bays and shallow anchorages as well as feel comfortable with ocean crossings and big seas all of which make these 36-meter yachts from the family run Dutch shipyard the very best choice on the market", said John Vickers of Vickers Studio.

Onboard you will find an internal volume of 297 GT which sees a layout being utilized with 5 cabins to accommodate up to 10 guests. There will also be 6 crew members onboard. At the time the new owners came onboard with the project, it was early enough to put their personal stamp on it. Q43 has been personalized with a light white background framed in the Walnut joinery language. Turquoise and green blue fabrics are featured throughout with custom carpets created for the main salon and owners’ cabin as well as the feature cushions and decorative highlights. These colors were picked out from the organically created wall art featured through the yacht, especially in the guest lobby panels which used seagrass and sea forest as the inspiration. Red was also the owner's favorite color which was used as highlights in two of the guest cabins sourcing fashion house fabrics for the cushions from Jean Paul Gaultier amongst others. The main salon was created as a wide-open space with two storage and bar facilities both sides. This is a family of coffee connoisseurs, so the barista facilities are all customized to the highest level.

Performance wise Q43 is powered by twin Caterpillar C18 engines, permitting a cruising speed of 15-knots and a top speed of 16.8-knots. The Mulder ThirtySix has been growing since it was introduced with hull 1, "Delta One" in 2017. There is already a 9th hull under construction and the 8th hull should be ready for completion in the first quarter of 2025.

With the yacht officially delivered the owners are currently enjoying their new boat and have set sail for Norwegian waters. They will then move to Mediterranean waters to finish out the Summer before the yacht is due to be displayed at boat shows on either side of the Atlantic. Q43 is to be displayed at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September from the 10th to the 15th and then at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) 30 October to 3 November. It was at the 2022 FLIBS that the sale was initiated.
