The 34-meter "Solis" now assumes flagship status at Dutch builder Mulder Yachts since she was launched. Previously known simply as the Mulder 'Thirty-Four', the new yacht displays her new name from sideboards. A stylish but subdued cream hull contrasts the gleaming white aluminium superstructure and silver-grey hardtop. We know you are wondering who designed the new flagship of Mulder Yachts. That answer comes in the form of Claydon Reeves - yes British design firm Claydon Reeves. They were responsible for both the exterior and interior of Solis while the Naval Architecture work stayed in The Netherlands with Van Oossaneen. The Mulder has a GT from 315 tons and will be built under RINA LY3, MCA classification and Unlimited Range.

Solis has a steel hull with an aluminium superstructure mated on top. LOA is 34-meters with a beam of 8-meters and 2.15-meter draft. The yacht has been undertaking sea trials and other testing so the wait is on to verify her top speed. Contractually, she is expected to reach 13-kots using twin CAT C18s. Accommodation for guests appear to be in four staterooms. While there is no suggestion of a master suite per-se, the yacht has two VIPs and two doubles that are configurable to twin status if needed. One VIP is on the lower deck midships and two doubles/twins. The other VIP is forward on the main deck where the traditional master might have been. This room has a skylight and should afford night skyward views. Up to seven crew members can be slept onboard as well. There is a nice feature to the starboard side of the main deck where the glass can open to allow the dining room area to spill onto the side deck. This is accentuated by a large fold-down bulwark. This new displacement hulled, Mulder flagship should be freely roaming the oceans soon.
