Second Mulder 36-meter Starts Construction

Dutch yacht builder Mulder Yachts started construction on the second Mulder ThirtySix yacht. As far it is known, there is not an owner for this build and so it is being built on speculation. The build will follow a similar trend as the first while the yard tries to secure a buyer. We will imagine that Claydon Reeves is responsible for the exterior design in conjunction with the Mulder Yard based on the first build. The Naval Architecture is also by Van Oossanen Naval Architects.

The interior volume is fairly generous for a 36-meter yacht and full height windows all around give the main deck entertainment and gathering spaces a very open feel. The standard layout for guest accommodation is for 10 but as the craft recently started build there is room still for customization in this regard. The master suite will be forward on the main deck towards the bow though. Guest accommodation will be on the lower deck but the number and whether twin or double can be switched around. The hull design is so efficient that the craft just needs two engines of around 847Kw to push her to a top speed of 16.8-knots. Features onboard include a spacious sundeck with a jacuzzi and sunpadded area to the aft. There is a secondary helm station off to the forward starboard of the deck and that is a couple steps from the wheelhouse directly below.

The main deck plan is open with the saloon flowing seamlessly into a bar area and into a formal dining space. Tender storage is in the aft lower deck and when the tender is launched the area can be transformed into a small beach club relaxing stage when the transom door is deployed. The second Mulder ThirtySix is available and can be delivered in 2018.
