When you hear the name Mag Bay Yachts you immediately think of spritely center consoles utilized for sportfishing. The Mag Bay 33CC (Center Console) comes to mind. The company also makes a slightly larger sportfish express boat complete with tuna tower akin to what may be seen on products by other manufacturers in the business. The model is called the Mag Bay 42 Express and as the model name suggests, it has a length in the region of 42.6-feet. The company introduced their first model, the 33 center console, to industry wide acclaim in 2015. Mag Bay’s second model, the 42 Express, has been making a name for itself since its debut at the 2020 Miami International Boat Show.

The 42 Express can come with or without the tuna tower, that is a choice left to the client. The yard says the 42 Express is available in sportfish configuration or express with hardtop. The vessel can sleep two comfortably with a V-berth double and a head arrangement. The bed is an island Double Bed with mattress featuring a lift-base showcasing generous storage solutions beneath. The build of the vessel is 100% Vinylester Resin construction.

Coming inside off the main deck cockpit area, the salon and galley are a combined area as you can see in the below image. All the creature comforts are located here. Large corner built-in settee placed across from the large screen tv. The space is open so it doesn't limit conversation between the settee area and the galley region. The floors are teak and holly, accent led lighting below the toe-kicks and behind the valences. The counters are Corian in the salon/galley area.

The Mag Bay Yachts 42 Express is 42.6-feet long with a beam of 15.6-feet and a draft of just 4-feet. 665 gal (2,517 LT) of fuel can be carried along with 125 gal (473 LT) of fresh water. The bait tank is 85 gal (321 LT) and fish boxes are 75 gal (283 LT) each. Displacement of the Mag Bay Yachts 42 Express is around 43,500. Power is provided via twin 1,000 horse power Volvo Penta D13 turbo-diesel inboards which should give her a top end around 38-knots. The 42 Express is a good complement to the 33CC for those looking to elevate the fish finding experience.
