  1. 54-meter Project 13800 By Lurssen
It is not often that we get to see a project from German custom superyacht builder Lurssen that is in the 50 to 55-meter range. One such project is currently in the works and well-underway in its construction. We are talking about Project 13800, a 54-meter superyacht with design by Banenberg & Rowell inside and out. The last time we saw a vessel built by Lurssen at this size bracket was in the mid-90s.
  2. The design is also different for a Lurssen build. It is a 4-deck superyacht with a long aft deck with a transverse-oriented pool. Even at this size, information on the build is scarce as per Lurssen's confidentiality promises the company keeps to its private clients. We do know that the project started construction in 2018 and is expected to be completed in 2021. Lurssen has become known for building uber-large superyachts, many, comfortably taking the title for the largest in the world but they also do not want clients to think this is the only way they can build. Along with the technical launching of Project 13800 yesterday, the yard has Project 'Hawaii', an 87-meter superyacht that was launched in January coming closer to completion/delivery.
