  1. Lexus LY650 Launches
For a while now you were hearing of car manufacturer Lexus making a foray into the yachting business. Their offering is called the LY650 (Lexus Yacht 65-footer) and it is now a reality with the yacht now in the water and active. Lexus themselves aren't actually the builders as it is Marquis Yachts that is doing the real building here. The design of the yacht is by well-noted design firm Nuvolari & Lenard.
  2. You will get to see the new Lexus LY650 at the coming Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) and it will be available for purchase from the 30th of October. Volvo Penta power is onboard and the LY650 is coming in a couple power options left up to the owner to decide. There is the Volvo Penta 1050, 1200 and 1350 options available. The Volvo Penta 1350s will likely run this yacht above 30-knots.
  3. The yacht's construction has been in GRP and Carbon Fiber to ensure strong build quality as well as lighter weight characteristics. Up to six guests can be slept onboard in three cabins all on the lower deck. The Lexus LY650 has strong Marquis Yachts DNA even though it was built for a car manufacturer who calls them a mobility company wanting to spread their brand further than just on wheels. Below is a rendering of the yacht for comparison to the final result in the photos above.
