Palumbo Superyachts brand ISA Yachts has just unveiled a new design and something that is totally different to what this yard normally does; under construction or even in design/concept stage. The latest to come from this mostly monohull yard is a power catamaran. It is called the ISA ZEFFIRO 130 Power Cat. The yard is directly going into territory that has been plied by numerous other manufacturers for years now. Sunreef, Horizon and others spring to mind.

However, the ZEFFIRO 130 is quite different not just in design presentation but the overall experience intended for an owner to enjoy. One of the immediate features that stands out is simply the deck space available and this is of course thanks to the wide beams afforded by a catamaran platform. On this particular design the beam is 13.1-meters which translates into 43-feet. Regardless of which deck you are on above the hulls, the enormous space available is well noted.

The interior will also benefit from this expansive beam offering owner and guests a high-volume experience. This yacht by the way is designed in collaboration with the French team at Berret-Racoupeau Yacht Design. The interior is designed by Isabelle Racoupeau of the aforementioned design firm. Below is an example of the feel they went for in formulating this chic interior concept for the ZEFFIRO 130. The main salon features the usual relaxation spaces and formal dining area along with a bar and interior access to the accommodations in both hulls.

Speaking of accommodations, the ZEFFIRO 130 accommodates as many as eight (8) guests in four (4) double VIP sized cabins in the hulls of the vessel. The fifth (5th) cabin is the principal cabin reserved for the owner and that is located on the forward main deck. On the main deck, the layout sees the full-beam owner's suite occupying the entire forward area. Complete with king-size bed, private lounge, oversized walk-in closet and bow-facing desk, its 180° panoramic glazing offers a seamless transition to the over 100 sqm cockpit fitted with a Jacuzzi.

On the back deck, towards the stern there are fold-down 'wings' which extend the available hull space of the aft hulls. In the port side hull the yard proposes that a small gym be tucked into this corner with the ability to bring out some lighter gym equipment pieces on the wing to enjoy a waters-edge exercise routine. On the other side, it is more of a relaxed beach club experience. In fact there is a platform on the aft that can descend down to the waterline and bridge the gap between the hulls offering a full superyacht-like swim platform.

As we make our way forward along the walkways of the main deck it is important to note that at the midships position the bulwarks can lower giving even better views out from the saloon and dining areas. Sliding glass doors aid this process too. However, as you arrive to the bow, there is an expansive amount of deck space dedicated to a beach-like experience. Centrally located there is a dip-pool/jacuzzi and on either side massive sunpads. More padded seating is available closer to the superstructure.

At cruising speed this yacht should be able to see a 3,500 nautical mile range. Thanks to her wide stance as a result of the catamaran hulls, the yard says there is no need to add stabilizers.
