News: Heesen Splashes 50M Project "ALTEA"

50-meter Project "ALTEA" Launched At Heesen

The newest yacht to splash at Dutch yard Heesen is called Project "ALTEA". It is a 50-meter aluminum superyacht with a design by Frank Laupman and it is for sale! Delivery is expected to happen by June, 2021. The interior is by Cristiano Gatto Design and she will be ready overall for an owner to take delivery of a turn-key superyacht in time for the upcoming Summer period without delay.

Project ALTEA was built at Heesen under the build code YN19550. According to Heesen it is the second yacht to launch based on the Nova Plus design and engineering platform. The design's naval architecture features a Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) helping aid the yacht's impressive expected top-end speed of 19.5-knots. This too is in part due to having a pair of MTU 12V 2000 M72's. Dialed back to a continuous 12-knots she has the capability to cross the Atlantic with a 3,750 nautical mile range. Below is a view underneath the aft waterline.

Onboard one will find six (6) guests cabins for as many as twelve (12) guests. There too are five (5) cabins for the nine crew members who will take care of her and her guests. Once the commissioning of the onboard systems have happened, Heesen expects Project ALTEA to depart the yard for the period of sea trials in early May 2020 and once that has been completed satisfactorily she will then be prepared for full completion by June, and delivered if she finds an owner by then.
