  1. Heesen Unveil 50-meter 'Maia'
The newest Heesen project emerges to the light. It is a 50-meter hull that is called 'Maia', named after a celestial body. The three-deck design is by Clifford Den with an interior by Reymond Langton. It is a full displacement 50-meter hull that is presently under construction at Heesen's Oss yard facilities. According to the renderings, the yacht will be finished in the traditional all-white.
  2. The yacht has an overall sportive feel to the exterior design which works well for her well-proportioned features. The design lines are particularly easy on the eye. Tender storage is on the bow and not in the transom because there is a bit of a beachclub in that position. The bow allows for two tenders and some PWC toys to be stored therefore there is no relaxing area for guests in that area. Accommodation is for ten guests in a typical layout with a full beam master suite located on the forward main deck and four guest cabins on the lower deck (three doubles and a twin).
  3. The Reymond Langton finished interiors will be sumptuous featuring a light palette accentuated by splashes of colours. The flooring and paneling is a darker shading adding much needed contrast to an overall subdued concept. This displacement yacht will not be a sprinter despite her sportive appearance. In fact her top speed is expected to be 15-knots. Her range will be around 3,800 miles at a conservative 12-knots. Power will come via a pair of MTU marine diesels. Project Maia should be on track for delivery in 2018.
