58 Fly Hybrid On Display At Cannes Yachting Festival

The next big yachting event coming up is the Cannes Yachting Festival and Greenline Yachts are expected to showcase their 58 Fly Hybrid. If you intend to attend this year's show, the vessel will be on display at Quai St Pierre, September 10-15th 2024. Greenline has been pushing the hybrid technology being integrated into their vessels and their latest tech is aboard the 58 Fly Hybrid as the 6G H-Drive hybrid technology.

The system makes operation of the vessel less polluting to the environment. For example, operators have the option to be able to run the vessel in Electric mode for about 20 miles at 6 or less knots. This can be helpful moving between nearby anchorages or in environmentally sensitive areas like marine reserves. Being utilized in the typical manner it can potentially reduce emissions by up to 40% annually.

Greenline Yachts' new 6G H-Drive is the result of 16 years of continuous development," said Vladimir Zinchenko, owner and Managing Director of Greenline Yachts. "Since our inception, we've been ahead of the competition in efficient hybrid propulsion and silent hotel operations. We're excited to present this technology alongside our Responsible Yachting concept at Cannes with our flagship model, the Greenline 58 Fly Hybrid."

The vessel employs a 4kW solar roof array which in itself contributes to a significant operation of the hotel load of the yacht. In fact, if air conditioning is not required this system can run everything else comfortably without having to turn on the generator. Potentially this can make stays at anchor a bit more environmentally friendly. The builder will also have a couple other models at the show but in a different location. The Greenline 48 Coupe and the Greenline 45 Fly will be displayed at the Vieux Port.
