First Pearl 82 Takes To The Water

The first unit from the Pearl 82 model has been launched. For those keeping tabs, the new Pearl 82 now sits between the yards Pearl 72 and Pearl 95 models giving customers the option to sit in the middle of those two offerings. For such a small yacht it offers some features likely to be found on larger vessels. There are two aft deck configurations available with this model. Then there is a semi-walkaround deck with a forward master suite as one of the options and private forepeak terrace. According to Managing Director, Iain Smallridge, it is... "the most compact superyacht on the market."

Dixon Yacht Design has been responsible for the exterior design along with the Naval Architecture of the Pearl 82. The aft deck arrangements that owners can choose from are called the Riviera and the Veranda. These aft deck arrangements benefit from fold-down bulwarks that accentuate the space by allowing guests to have better views and greater connection with the water. The yacht can carry a tender along with a PWC in the aft garage up to a Williams 345.

The emphasis on big windows is apparent with this design. There are four distinct strip-levels of glazing across this yacht that help to pour natural lighting into the Pearl 82. Speaking of the interior, that is designed by Kelly Hoppen. If you are familiar with Celebrity Cruises EDGE-class cruise ships, she is the designer of those interiors as well. The interiors are modern and fresh as expected from this design house.

In terms of accommodation, the first Pearl 82 is carrying a 5-cabin layout to sleep eight on the lower deck in two twins and two doubles. On the forward main deck is the full-beam master suite where the owner will reside and has direct access to a bow terrace via a forward glass door. The convenience of being able to emerge onto deck from your suite with minimal to no hindrance is a highlight of the space.

Performance is going to be afforded to customers with 3 packages. The Pearl 82 will have dual MAN V12 powerplants that are to offer horsepower from 1650 horsepower up to to 2000 horsepower. If a client chooses the most powerful of the offered triad then the top speed of the Pearl 82 will be around 33-knots. The 25.3-meter yacht will make her global premiere at the 2024 edition of the Cannes Yachting Festival to be held in September.
