News: First Nordhavn N41 Released From Mold

N41 #1 Is Out Of The Mold

In June, YF alerted you to the unveiling of the Nordhavn N41 Passagemaker model. Since then the first hull in this new model has been in the early stages of production and now we can report to you this month (August) that the yard has released the hull from its mold already. The first hull is expected to be completed in time for the 2020 Dusseldorf Boat Show which is expected to be held from January 18th to 26th.

It is a tight construction schedule and work must go apace to be finished in time for her debut in Germany. The N41 Passagemaker is basically replacing the popular N40 and you are basically getting a much more stylish and capable yacht. This yacht will be able to travel very long distances at a continuous 6-knots she will sip 3,407 LT fuel for an impressive 8,000 nautical miles. At a faster 9.5-knots fuel consumption is expected to increase and the range goes down about 1,000 nautical miles. We will have to wait for the full endurance specs from the builder.

Onboard the N41 Passagemaker there will be two accommodation layouts provided by Nordhavn. There is essentially just a single cabin for the owner in one version or there is a two cabin arrangement with a mix of bunk-style bedding. For a Passagemaker the N41 will be a comfortable boat with all the creature comforts of home and luxury styling on a small platform, perfect entry-level yacht for the Passagemaker. We look forward to seeing this first hull at Boot Dusseldorf in January, 2020.
