Nordhavn Launches First N41

The first hull in the new N41 model has finally been launched. On the 17th of June the vessel was taken to the water in Turkey. Yesterday the vessel was earmarked to commence sea trials according to the builder. She will undergo seatrials and other testing over the coming weeks before she is prepared for shipping to the U.S. in mid-July. The original timeline for launching was to be in April but clearly that slipped likely due to Corona Virus restrictions.

The LOA is 12.60-meters with a modest beam of 4.24-meters and a draft of 1.38-meters. The displacement is 19.5 tonnes with the ability to carry 3,407 LT of fuel and 265 LT of fresh water in the holding tanks. Entry-level owners will be happy with the N41 carrying on the legacy of the popular N40 model. With all the experience from the N40, the yard started over and utilizing advanced Computational Fluid Dynamics analysis they created "the most capable, efficient, safe and sea kindly Passagemaker ever built".
