American Owners Take Delivery Of First Horizon E81

The first hull of the E81 model from Horizon Yachts has been delivered to its owners who happen to hail from the United States. Of course, the E81 is part of the yard's E Series of yachts. The yacht has been in most part spearheaded the design of their first Horizon yacht to meet the needs of their multi-generational family. This first hull is finished with an open flybridge with solid glass windshield. The second hull though which is currently underway will be a fully-enclosed flybridge design -also going to an American client-.

For the first hull though, the interior features accommodation in a four-stateroom layout with quarters for two crew aft. The master suite for the owners is located midships on the lower deck where they can enjoy the full-beam nature of the room coupled with large side windows. Forward of the master, two guest staterooms to port and starboard comprise a bunk room and a convertible twin, while a spacious VIP occupies the bow area and echoes the custom arrangements for artwork found in the master.

Twin 1,600 horse power CAT C32 diesels power this craft and there are also two Onan 29kW generators. Other features the vessel has include a wireless controller, thrusters both bow and stern in addition to Zero Speed stabilizers and a Sea Recovery watermaker which is good for 900 gallons a day.

Within the modern interior, which is outfitted in light Oak with dark Wenge accents, the main salon is fitted with a large L-shaped sofa facing a pop-up television and a dayhead to port. The internal stairway to port leads to the flybridge while spacious galley to starboard has been customized with overhead cabinetry. A forward dinette completes the country kitchen layout. The main deck aft offers a large teak dining table, a fully equipped wet bar and a drop-down television. Walkaround side decks lead to the foredeck area, with another spacious seating/dining area and sunpad complete with an innovative covered storage space.
