  1. CL Yachts CLX96 SAV Nears Completion
News coming out of CL Yachts is that their first CLX96 SAV that is currently under construction is progressing towards completion. The CLX96 SAV is a FRP composite-made vessel that has been designed to be different from the start and offer an experience and style that isn't available currently. In fact, Martin Lo, CL Yachts Director said it best. "In order to be competitive in today’s market, you need to be daring and we believe that the CLX96 is a bold challenge of the status quo in its category." The design of the CLX96 SAV is by Jozeph Forakis with Naval Architecture by Alfaro Design.
  2. Inside, the CLX96 SAV can sleep up to eight (8) guests overnight in four cabins all located on the lower deck. The master suite is situated towards the forward part of the hull just before the bow tapers in offering a near full-beam experience. The master itself features a real skylight that funnels an abundance of natural light in as well as large side windows making it a light-filled principal abode. The next superior room is the VIP suite and this room is also full-beam located more towards midships. The VIP mimics the master suite by providing a 'skylight' only thing it is a virtual skylight. In other words, there is a display in the ceiling that mimics the appearance of a skylight but it takes a live feed from a camera on the external of the yacht to provide the feel of a skylight. A twin and a double rounds out the remainder of the guest accommodation.
  3. The exterior decks are a huge part of the experience in the CLX96 SAV and there are several zones around the boat that are dedicated to the guest. These include what is termed as the 'Terrazza Portoghese' forward of the sky lounge, the 'Piazza del Sole' seating and sunning area on the foredeck, and the expansive stern beach club at the waterline which features a hydraulically-submerging swim-platform on the stern. Once launching has taken place -which is anticipated in the next few months- she will be prepared for completion there after making her world debut at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) later this year.
