  1. Columbus S50 Exits Build Shed
The Columbus S50 that was under construction at Palumbo Superyachts has been moved outside of its build shed and into the open. You can call it a technical launch but the vessel isn't expected to actually launch just yet. They are preparing the yacht for launching in very early 2021. For the time being, work will continue on the final fitting of the vessel as well as critical testing of the many systems onboard. The design of this all-aluminum yacht is by Luca Dini (inside too).
  2. Five cabins can accommodate up to twelve guests if needed and as many as nine crew can be kept onboard. On the lower deck the yacht has a pair of MTU engines each with 2,000 horse power. This setup is sufficient to run the S50 at 20-knots. Cruising at 14-knots she should certainly be able to achieve just over 3,000 nautical miles, which can put her across the Atlantic. Look out for more on this vessel in the new year.
