  1. First CLX96 SAV Launched By CL Yachts
The first CL Yachts CLX96 SAV (Sea Activity Vessel) has been launched. The yacht should have been launched a few months ago but due to pandemic-related issues the launching had to be pushed back. The following photos showcases the vessel in the travel lift being taken to the water for the first time. The exterior is a bit different from what you usually see with the reverse raked windshields fore and aft. The exterior lines were penned by Jozeph Forakis.
  2. The interior was also penned by Forakis with the general atmosphere on the boat described as 'workboat chic' while the interior takes its inspiration from New York loft style and living. The interior can sleep up to eight guests in four cabins. "The yacht’s distinctive profile is born from observations of living habits at sea and reconsidering the preconceptions of space, comfort and conviviality. Of course, comfort is a priority on a luxury yacht, but I also want those onboard to always be aware that they are on a ‘vessel’ built to transport them through space and time," commented Forakis.
  3. Performance is possible thanks to dual CAT C32 marine diesels with an anticipated 27-knot top end is the goal. Fast cruising speed has been calculated at 22-knots and these are under half-loading scenarios. Back in October when the vessel was originally anticipated to launch CL Yachts Director, Martin Lo said, "it’s all coming together on CLX96 and it will be beautiful when the yacht is completed. The realization of the designer’s vision is on track, and we are extremely proud of what is being achieved with our very first SAV". We have something different that will also offer a different experience to clients in the future.
