United States yard Christensen has launched their latest build, the 50-meter "Jackpot". She is similar looking to previous Christensen builds like "Silver Lining" and "Casino Royale". This yacht will mark the end of an era for Christensen building and completing yachts in the Washington area. After Jackpot is completed and delivered Christensen will be moving production to Tennessee where their new facilities are located.

Another hull is expected to be launched very soon from the Washington facilities but in a semi-completed state. The owners will complete this yacht -identified as hull 042- with another yard. As for Jackpot the yacht was built for an American client who will keep the yacht on the East coast. Like many other 50-meter models from Christensen, Jackpot has a 6-cabin layout to sleep up to twelve guests. The marked differences on this build are on the interior. There is a new engineer’s cabin in the aft lazarette and newly-developed bridge system. You will find the same classic Christensen interior comprising of the Walnut panelling and Marble stonework.

Christensen wanted to make this move to Tennessee for a while now but the global market crisis had alot to say in that regard. The new yard is expected to open fully by the end of this Summer. The new size will also allow them to build up to 70-meters and also in different materials other than fiberglass. Steel yachts will now be possible for Christensen in the future.
