"Vica" Splashes; Becomes Benetti's First Hybrid Superyacht

Italian yard Benetti has had a good run recently highlighting the launch of three new yachts. One of them is "Vica", a near 50-meter superyacht with a very special package. She has hybrid power source and thus takes the distinction of being Benetti's first hybrid superyacht. Not only is she hybrid in propulsion but she also has been built a bit differently. Her construction is in fiberglass and aluminium, however, the fiberglass is the hull and the aluminium is on the superstructure, some may have been expecting it to be the other way around. Vica has accommodation for her guests in four cabins on the lower deck. The master/owner's suite is on forward end of the main deck and features a private balcony on the starboard side. If needed there is an additional cabin space on the upper deck. Crew are located forward on the lower deck. Emphasis on special lighting on the interior with a host of complementary materials and fabrics round out the interior of Vica. She was built as hull 801 and is the first hull in Benetti's 800 series. Other features onboard is a small touch-and-go helipad area on the bridge roof with direct access from the sun deck, a jacuzzi located on the bow, large full-height windows to accentuate views from the saloon -this is also aided by the removal of the bulwark along the aft main deck and use of railings-.
