  1. Future Flagship Archipelago 80
A new owner has taken on the mantle to build the Archipelago 80 by Archipelago Yachts. Once complete, the vessel will become the yard's flagship of their leisure expedition line. The first hull is being built for a 'visionary owner'. Naval Architecture of the 24.4-meter catamaran-hulled vessel is coming from Chartwell Marine. A three-deck layout plus the ability to land a small helicopter on the roof thanks to strong reinforcement will be an additional appeal for the model. However, it is not clear if the owner is going for the helicopter-landing capability on this small yacht.
  2. Accommodation has been designed into the hulls of the vessel. The exact number of cabins for this build are not known yet but the model is built to accommodate up to 12 guests. Moving upstairs, the 11-meter beam is evident with the salon taking full advantage of the real-estate available. There is a large open-plan salon for guests to relax indoors but with the large side windows views outward are still decent.
  3. In terms of performance, a diesel-electric setup is proposed. Top speed is estimated to be 28 to 30-knots. The roof can be covered in photovoltaics to supplement hotel-load consumption. Additionally a paravane kite can also be added to the features used to reduce fuel and energy consumption onboard. A Palfinger crane on the aft deck will handle movement of any equipment or toys and there is also an optional davit for the foredeck for maneuvering toys to and from that part of the boat.
