  1. Aquila 42 Coupe Powercat
A relatively new yacht hit the market last year and made its debut on the European circuit at the 2025 Cannes Yachting Festival. It is the Aquila 42 Coupe Powercat. This is an interesting creation from this yard offering the platform via outboard power or inboard power. The standard power appears to be with a pair of Mercury Verado V10 engines each with 400 horse power strapped to the back of the two hulls. Alternative power is optioned in the form of Volvo Penta D6-440hp DPI sterndrive diesel engines.
  2. The Aquila 42 Coupe Powercat measures 13.06-meters and can carry up to four guests on overnight runs with her two-cabin arrangement. The yacht's construction is utilizing resin-infused vinylester composite hull and Hydro Glide Foil System.
  3. Onboard, the vessel presents living on the main deck where a wide and open plan greets guests. Those guests, up to four of them, can enjoy a comfortable retreat sleeping in 2 cabins in both hulls. Each cabin has its own facilities for shower and freshwater flushing toilet. Side windows in the hull give the cabins natural lighting during the day hours. On the main deck, it is spacious thanks to the yacht's 4.85-meter overall beam (15.11-feet).
  4. On the main deck, the saloon, galley, helm station, hull stairs access all blend together as one space but serve different functions. The open plan nature is vital on a 42.1-foot vessel as partitions and walls would serve to make the general footprint feel smaller and closed-off. The yacht can serve as a day boat or for longer weekend trips with a 300 nautical mile range. The vessel can access nearshore and anchorages without issue as the draft - although it varies slightly depending on which propulsion package is used - but is negligible. With the outboards down in the water, 2.11-feet is the draft. With inboards, the draft is 3.3-feet. Access from the aft cockpit area to the bow -where there is bolstered seating- is maintained through rear and forward doors which adds an added element of safety rather than having maneuver along the sides of the vessel.
