  1. First Amels 200 Launched At Damen Yachting
The first launch of 2021 has been rolled out of the sheds at Damen Yacht. The specimen is the first unit of the new Amels 200 model. She is just a few months before her delivery this Summer. Amels has been constantly tweaking the designs of their Limited Editions yachts in recent years and the Amels 200 is a representation of this. According to the yard the Amels 200 is an evolution of the Limited Edition 188. The exterior design remains by Tim Heywood with an interior by Reymond Langton.
  2. Onboard the 1,015 GT superyacht you will find a six-cabin layout for the owner and guests. The owner's stateroom is on the main deck and now features full-height windows, an enhancement highlighted by designer Tim Heywood. There is also a fold-down balcony off the master suite to add to the overall suite life for the owner. Five other cabins are on the lower deck for guest use. There is a well-equipped gym on the Sun deck midships which is fully enclosed and indoors (this is a room below where the radar mast sits). The four decks are serviced by a guest elevator.
  3. The Amels 200 is as environmentally friendly as this type of yacht can get. She complies with IMO Tier III regulations. Top speed is expected to be 15.5-knots while cruising at 13-knots and has a efficient cruising range of 4,500 nautical miles. Tim Heywood speaks to some of the exterior design elements of the Amels 200. "There are many features of this design that bring a smile to my face. The many flying buttresses, the complex winding surfaces, the upturned deck ends, the integrated life rafts, the sculptural mast and the complex stern, all form a harmonious design that sits securely in her environment, of which I am extremely proud. I believe her delicate, fluid lines will prove to be timeless and she will still look as attractive in 50 years’ time, as she does now." By Summer this new yacht should be in her owner's hands.
