  1. Hinckley Dasher All-Electric Day Boat

Hinckley has unveiled a new boat called the Hinckley Dasher. It is in the category of a day boat or even a tender but it is all-electric. The vessel is only around 29-feet long but it is a comfortable ride that will ensure you travel and arrive in style. The design is by Michael Peters Yacht Design (MPYD) and built with a carbon-epoxy composite hull. The craft is full of technology even in her small frame.
  2. The center console has a layout done in a simple fashion with a single display touchscreen. The display area is wrapped in the same wood species that accents the rest of the boat as an example, the caprail. The idea was clearly to keep the vessel's clean lines with few unnecessary protrusions that would interrupt the running eye. That is why you see electric pop-up cleats installed around the boat. They are there when you need them and returns flush with the hull when you don't.
  3. With the name Dasher, you would expect this craft to be fast. It will probably top out at around 25-knots with her pair of 80 horse power electric motors. Waterproof electric batteries come via BMW with their I3 lithium Ion setup. Dual 50 amp charging cables are onboard for quick charging. You can fully charge this boat in approximately 4 hours. With the electric motors, the boat runs silently and the only thing you hear is the waves and the wake the vessel makes. The range at cruising speed is around 40 nautical miles and if you fast cruise that reduces in half to around 20 to 25 nautical miles. The LOA is 28.6-feet with a beam of 8.7-feet and a draft of just 1.11-feet. Deliveries of this new boat appear to start in the Summer of 2018.
