68-meter "Soaring" Splashed At Abeking & Rasmussen

The first superyacht launch of 2020 for German custom yacht builder Abeking & Rasmussen has hit the water. The yacht, which is called "Soaring" was brought out of the shed only a week ago. It was not too long before this occasion that finished renders were released of the vessel giving a glimpse into what the deck spaces and interior would look like once completed. It is a different look from this yard with the new build and this is in-part thanks to the exterior design by Focus Yacht Design. The interior is also by Focus Yacht Design. Now that she is in the water, the yard will be preparing her for sea trials to ensure all systems are in proper working order to satisfy the owner, class and regulations. After that she will be finessed for delivery in April of this year. The yacht is supposed to have a gross tonnage close to 1,500 GT which should translate to roomy environs onboard this 68-meter superyacht. With a pair of MTU 12V 4000 marine diesels her top speed should be 16.2-knots. Following photo is by Tom van Oossanen.

Abeking & Rasmussen describes Soaring as a "custom-made floating home that leaves nothing to be desired by her owner". They also describe the Focus Yacht Design interior as being "Sophisticated and Elegant". Either way, Soaring is expected to be available on the charter market from this Summer and guests can surely expect to indulge in the lap of luxury onboard. Up to twelve guests will be slept onboard in six cabins. The owner's suite is situated on the upper aft deck and has a semi-private outside deck terrace to themselves. The other five guest cabins are all located on the forward main deck.
