Today, German custom superyacht builder Abeking & Rasmussen (A&R) announced the delivery of their flagship superyacht "LIVA°". This is the 118.2-meter vessel that was under construction at the yard as Project 6507/'Celerius'. The delivery of this yacht marks a defining moment for the company. The exterior design is unlike anything we have seen from Abeking & Rasmussen before and this is partly due to the usage of designer Joseph Dirand. They were also responsible to the interior design. The challenge for Joseph Dirand and Architecture was to implement all the technical aspects and necessities yet still keep the yacht's design as clean and void of obstructions to the eye. LIVA°'s power and propulsion is also a feat of engineering, powerful but quiet.

The yacht employs a sophisticated diesel-electric propulsion system designed for exceptionally quiet operation during navigation and maneuvering. This innovative approach incorporates two 2200 kW electric propulsion motors manufactured by RAMME Electric Machines GmbH and supplied by SER Schiffselektronik Rostock GmbH. To ensure a steady supply of electrical power, the vessel is equipped with two 2240 kW Caterpillar main generators and three 599 kW Caterpillar auxiliary generators, supplied by Zeppelin Power Systems. Four VOITH thrusters lend their power to the yacht’s maneuverability. Two pairs of SKF stabilizer fins are fitted to ensure tolerable and comfortable conditions onboard.

LIVA°'s tender and toy-carrying capability is also noteworthy. She carries a massive 16-meter dayboat on the lower deck along with a forward garage to house three more tenders. In addition to those tenders, there is room to fit a Triton submersible too. This Triton submersible is expected to carry up to 7 persons. Furthermore the yacht carries dive equipment, water toys and bicycles.

Besides the enormous tender garages, the yacht's hull conceals a number of other features. For example, looking at the forward hull, there are no visible anchor pockets in the traditional sense. Following the clean and obstructionless ethos, the yacht has submarine anchors. Two anchors are actually underwater on the yacht's keel. The hull also conceals a Neptune lounge only perceptible as a result of the 3.40M x 1.30M glazing at the waterline allowing guests to view underwater life from the distinct comfort of this lounge. Of course less concealed and hidden on the top of the aft main deck is the yacht's stunning and large 12M X 4M main swimming pool. While large superyachts tend to have pools with a variable floor to control the depth of the pool or close it off entirely, seldomly is the pool adorned in the fashion it is onboard LIVA°. A&R says the main pool is adorned with liquid marble, creating an illusion reminiscent of the sea’s surface when raised, while the pool walls and surroundings are also luxuriously enveloped in marble.

The crow’s nest, positioned at the foot of the mast, promises an exceptional observation experience, giving the Owner and his family a privileged vantage point to soak in the surrounding beauty. Also, an exquisitely arranged large marble-clad fireplace complemented by a generous round sofa on the forward sundeck offers a warm and inviting ambiance for relaxation and social gatherings. Furthermore, the yacht features a fully certified helicopter pad on the sky deck, catering to the Owner’s discerning taste and providing easy access to remote locations.
