  1. Officina Armare Design Unveils A88 Gransport
In the yachting sector many smaller yachts have their design cues taken from the automotive world. This is nothing strange and in fact we see many automotive manufacturers teaming up with some yacht builders to create their own stamp on the industry. One of the latest designs comes from a design studio called Officina Armare Design which has a strong Super/Hyper car design philosophy. Their design is called the A88 Gransport which takes many of its cues from the Huracan Evo Spyder by Lamborghini. The last design from this studio also took its lines from the Lamborghini Centenario Roadster.
  2. Before we get into any of the performance figures of such a design, let's talk about the accommodation onboard. The A88 Gransport has been designed with four cabins to sleep up to eight guests in two master grade suites and two twin berths. The principal master suite is full-beam and offers a fair amount of real estate with a small lounge, large ensuite (bathroom with a sit-down bench) and of course a king-bed for the ultimate sleeping comfort.
  3. With all the super and hyper car cues you would expect the A88 to be specified to run-hard. Special attention was paid to making the whole yacht as aerodynamic as possible. Below deck are two MTU 16V 2000 M94s which are 2,600 horse power each. She will give you above 400 nautical mile range if you cruise under 30-knots but at fast cruising of 35-knots you will manage 350 nautical miles. Fully-open, the A88 Gransport is capable of 40-knots.
