  1. Inside The Mazu 92DS
The Mazu 92DS has been under construction for a while now and is moving towards the final stages of build as previously reported in, here https://www.yachtforums.com/threads/news-construction-progress-on-mazu-92ds.36116/#post-330352 . At this point the designers have released some renderings of how the interior is expected to look when the vessel is completed. Red Design is responsible for both the exterior and the interior design of the Mazu 92DS.
  2. This is the first model in the new semi-displacement series and is anticipated to splash later this year. There is also a 112DS in the works to eventually follow the series leader. The new 92DS represents Mazu's entry into steel-yacht construction as well. The hull is made of steel as can be seen in the above link but the superstructure is being made from carbon composite which is designed to be light, keeping the weight of the vessel low-down. Onboard the 92DS there will be four guest cabins which are to be in the form of a master suite, VIP and two twins...good for eight guests.
  3. The internal staircase is a focal point with its backlit stone as the main feature. This stairs runs from the main deck salon down into the beach club area and with the yacht already having ample glass usage throughout, the glass-wrapped stairs along with backlit stone welcomes both natural and artificial lighting to the space. Looking out through the large salon windows is natural too with the low bulwarks out of the way using stainless rails to extend to the required safety height.
  4. Off the beach club is the stern platform which in itself is a beautiful area to hangout. It is literally on the water and what is better is that the side bulwarks can fold down to make the space even larger as well as visually opening-up the area. With the side steps that support movement between the aft main deck and the swim platform as well as the sliding doors opened that lead to the beach club, there is alternative indoor-outdoor movement and experiences.
  5. Here is a better look at the main salon, just forward of the main staircase. It is an open-plan space and this is important on smaller vessels. Bare in mind this is a sub 100-foot vessel where space is always at a premium. Any design tricks to physically make spaces feel larger or even give the illusion of greater space is always appreciated. Although it is open-plan Red Design places emphasis on the longitudinal flow and orientation of the design elements.
  6. While the first Mazu 92DS is slated to be completed later this year, the yard has gone ahead and started the second hull on a speculative basis. The 112DS design phases are well underway and it is expected that we will see the detailed designs for that model this Summer. The first physical hull of the 112DS is expected to also commence build this year too.
