Sialia Yachts Unveil The 80 Explorer

The latest offering from Sialia Yachts is the Sialia 80 Explorer. This isn't just a small explorer though, it is electric touting a maximum battery capacity of 800 KWh supplied by a pair of 400 KWh motors with an AMPROS propulsion system . While the top speed isn't finalized as yet the yard is pushing for the region of 11+ knots. Despite her size up to 12 people can be accommodated onboard.

The yacht designed as a collaboration between Virpack and Sialia and would be built in aluminium. With the quiet nature of electric motors and battery operation, the owner's suite is located towards the aft of the hull. Normally you cannot do this with conventionally powered yachts even with the best dampening and sound proofing. Onboard the yacht has a fairly asymmetric layout. The lower deck is where all the accommodation for guests is located with 6 cabins available split between three doubles and three twins.

At 26.6-meters long she has a beam if around 8.5-meters. "Sialia 80 Explorer is designed to redefine exploration and sustainability; to thrive in a variety of environmental conditions, travelling to some of the world's most remote locations in silence and with minimal environmental impact" concluded Stanislav Szadkowski, Co-founder and CEO of Sialia Yachts. Her optimal cruising speed is to be 6-knots and have a range of over 3,000 nautical miles.
