Abeking & Rasmussen Delivers 68-meter "Soaring"

German custom superyacht builder Abeking & Rasmussen is pleased to announce today the formal delivery of their latest superyacht project, the 68-meter "Soaring". The delivery is another great milestone of the yard and one the owner will reflect on and enjoy for years to come. The delivery however, also comes during a time of uncertainty and restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The delivery ceremony had to be significantly scaled back as a result.

Soaring is designed inside and out by Focus Yacht Design. Now that she is completed she will be available for charter as well as private use by the owner. Guest accommodation is provided for up to twelve guests in six cabins of which the owner has a large dwelling on the upper aft deck area with walk-out terrace. Below is an example of one of the guest cabins located on the forward main deck. The internal volume of Soaring is measured at 1,500 GT.

Soaring was launched in the first month of this year and went through final outfitting and sea trials. Her performance figures during sea trials have not been disclosed at this stage but indications suggest she is capable of a 16.2-knot top end thanks to dual MTU 12V 4000 series engines. Hopefully we get to see Soaring spread her wings and take off around the world soon.
