  1. Spring 2025 Completion For 42-meter "Wildcat"
The 42-meter sailing sloop that is currently under construction has been a long journey in the making and the vessel has not been anywhere near delivery status. Currently known as "Wildcat" the yacht started out life as the second hull in Perini Navi's e-Volution GTS series of sloops. The incomplete yacht was made in aluminum for the hull with carbon fiber elements and carbon fiber for the superstructure and Turquoise Yachts took over the build and are now build to complete for the Spring of 2025.
  2. We are accustomed to Turquoise building motor yachts and so Reichel/Pugh is collaborating on the project likely with the Exterior and definitely the Naval Architecture since the start of the project. To go with the carbon construction the single mast and boom will be made from carbon as well. This is where the collaboration with Southern Spars will be. Since the vessel has changed builders the interior will likely change as well. No interior renders are available but it is being done by Barcelona-based GCA Architects.
  3. Onboard you can expect to see a layout catering for as many as eight guests. The guest cabins are broken down into a pair of twins, a VIP and the full-beam owner's suite. Exterior renders showcase a deck that is relatively uncluttered and focusing on outdoor living an relaxing with as many as 3 layout pads aft of the superstructure. On the foredeck there is a sunken al-fresco area designed for dining and a custom shade can be erected over the space to provide some respite from the overhead sun.
  4. As a sailing yacht it will have a lifting keel and an impressive sail plan which encompasses a sail area measuring 2,204 square meters. The sails will be operated by a PLC type technology, while sheets and halyards are worked and manipulated by three custom Harken captive reel winches and three Bamar furlers for more automated operations. Making the sailing system easier to use was a priority. The mast is measuring 62.5-meters making her Panamax capable. The furling system for the square-top main sail is in-boom.
