Classic Yacht "Far Niente" Delivered

With exterior styling reminiscent of the 1900s era the 32.7-meter "Far Niente" built by SES Yachts has now been delivered. Hoek Design has been responsible for the Naval Architecture, exterior and interior of Far Niente. The yacht's classic flowing lines and round-bilge hull took its inspiration in design from "Dutch herring luggers of the early 1900s". Hoek is no stranger to designing these sorts of vessels as their last major work in this vein was on the Turquoise yacht "Blue II".

You will find accommodation in five cabins and three cabins for the crew. The interior embraces the nod towards classic design but in a contemporary sense. There is timber work throughout but more contemporary finishes like Grey-washed Oak and other white timbers feature. The exterior deck spaces are primarily to the aft of the vessel which is aided by the tenders being stored on the bow. Two tenders can be stored on the bow where a crane can launch and retrieve at will out of the way of guests.

"Once again we have combined the timeless and elegant good looks of a classic motor yacht design with a fully optimized, hi-tech underwater body shape, using all the modern design programming we now have at our disposal," said designer Andre Hoek. The yacht's performance focuses on efficiency rather than raw high-power output. This 33-meter vessel can run at 11-knots for 3,370 nautical miles. Now that Far Niente has been delivered she is available on the charter market to welcome new guests.
