"Virgen Del Mar VI" Splashes At Alia Yachts

The latest yacht from Turkish manufacturer Alia Yachts emerged and was splashed this week. She is a 31-meter motoryacht with a design by Omega Architects. The interior is by British firm Redman Witeley Dixon (RWD). This yacht more than likely was built on speculation as she was only sold to her current owner earlier this year and was under construction for a long time.

The trideck yacht might have been familiar to you under construction as 'Nozomi' but now she has been launched we can see her final name is "Virgen Del Mar VI". Camper Nicholson announced the sale earlier this year (February 22nd) and said the owner grasped the opportunity to have a brand new yacht without the long wait time. He was also able to put his input on many of the finer and small details left to be completed. At 235GT and just 100-feet long, this yacht has been built for global cruising according to the manufacturer. Her 4,500 nautical mile range comes from a pair of Yanmar 6HYM-Wet, L Rated engines producing 650 horsepower each.

Virgen Del Mar VI can accommodate up to ten guests including a spacious master suite on the forward main deck. It should be noted, the master isn't full beam. The original interior concept as described by Alia Yachts suggested a palette of light oak and dark sycamore, with hand-cast bronze detailing, sets the tone of casual elegance overall. The concept plays with natural light and reflections off the water. Ten guests can stay in five cabins. If the yacht is in charter mode, the master suite will be available then there are two doubles and two twins on the lower deck. Now she has been splashed, this new yacht will be prepared for seatrials and then delivery to her new owner.
