  1. Project 'Mako Shark', A 26.5-meter Explorer
Renderings for the 26.5-meter (87-feet) Project 'Mako Shark' have surfaced. The design is a result of a collaboration between the yard, Tufan & Brothers and Riza Tansu. Naval Architecture is by the yard but is the first time Tansu is working with them design wise. They take the idea of a the compact explorer platform and packing-it out with full equipment to make it worthy of the name explorer.
  2. The yacht will either be owner-operated or crew operated and have the associated layout to suit. For example, if it is crew-operated, the captain will have a cabin on the upper deck basically at the back of the bridge for ease of access. If it is owner-operated, the captain's cabin will be replaced by lounge area on the upper deck and the other crew cabins will be reduced from two to one.
  3. For guests there is a five cabin layout with the master suite located towards the bow of the vessel. It has decent exterior space too for an 87-foot vessel with a full sun deck available to guests. The secondary helm position is also located on the sun deck allowing for open views for navigating and good vistas for guests utilizing the deck. One deck down on the aft is dedicated to modular exterior furniture. There is a crane here which will allow storage of a PWC or the Tender.
  4. At 26.5-meters in length there is a beam of 7.5-meters and a draft of 1.8-meters. The yacht is small enough to access the majority of marinas and can pull in closer to shore to enjoy shallower waters. Top speed is going to be 13.5-knots with an 11-knot cruising speed. Mako Shark is a close member of the Tiger Shark Class of yachts.
