Evadne Yachts is a Turkish builder that most people have never heard of but they have built a few yachts that have given them some recognition on the world stage. For example, their 24-26-meter SUV Class of explorer vessel is catching on especially in a crowded world of pocket explorers. Their first 25-meter in this line is a yacht called "ROCK" and it is registered in Delaware, United States. This is the yacht we are focusing on in this feature, a vessel showcasing exterior lines, interior concept and Naval Architecture drawn by Vripack.

The SUV line of yachts are made from metal, a steel hull and aluminium superstructure. There are some builders building in this size bracket producing stylish exploring yachts from composite materials. The head of Evadne Yachts, Ali Sayakci said in a press release that it would be much easier and faster to build the SUV line in composite of GRP but he is looking for the quality and sturdiness that metal construction gives to this type of vessel. Composites and GRP may allow for very stylish shapes but Evadne and Vripack have done a good job fashioning metal into an eye-catching pocket explorer.

The interior of ROCK is where this yacht shines offering a modern contemporary atmosphere to the owner. One thing you will find aboard this yacht is angular shapes and irregularly placed furniture; it doesn't follow the symmetrical norm of most yacht with mirror-image placement of built-ins and sofas in common areas. In fact, if you notice the main deck is not straight fore to aft, neither is it completely one level throughout. The main salon is actually on a higher level of the main deck while moving forward the dining room is three steps down. The slight up & down plus in & out layout of the main deck actually breaks up your line-of-sight.

Also on the main deck, forward of the dining area is the owner's suite. The principal of the yacht has a full-beam abode towards the forward end of the main deck and it has an additional feature with a large fold-down balcony/terrace on the starboard side. This allows the owner to have increased views while at anchor, permitting a breeze to enter the cabin and naturally light the suite as well. The ensuite bathroom is just forward of the cabin and is full-beam too but tapering inward following the contours of the bow.

Guest accommodation onboard is for up to eight guests in the master suite on the forward main deck, the remaining three guest cabins are on the lower deck. Four crew can be slept onboard too. The vessel is 6.50-meters wide which is approximately 21.45-feet. Although this is not tremendous beam Evadne has utilized space onboard this 25-meter vessel pretty well. The draft of the hull is also minimal, allowing her to cruise pretty much anywhere. ROCK draws only 1.8-meters of water.

Besides her angular shapes, the yacht has some nice features her owner and guests can enjoy. There is a jacuzzi on the upper most deck, just forward of the mast and space for a couple loungers. The aft upper deck has perhaps the most space available on the exterior. From built-ins to al-fresco dining, this deck has it all. The aft overhang for this area can be fitted with a sun awning to help keep al-fresco diners shaded from the overhead sun.

Onboard, there are a pair of CAT C12.9 1000 horse power diesel engines. These push ROCK to a top speed of 15-knots according to Evadne. The 102 tonne displacement yacht can cruise easily at 12-knots and have extensive range drawing from her 12,000 LT capacity fuel tanks. The 2018-built yacht has been cruising the oceans extensively since launch and Evadne is working on the third hull in this SUV line.
