  1. Highlights of the 2025 Boot Düsseldorf
With the Boot Düsseldorf show finished for another year, the 2025 edition showcased a few new yachts to the market inclusive of new models, ranges and new entrants from respective builders around the world. We saw new offerings from Sunseeker, Grand Soleil Plus 80 and a bi-fuel Green Methanol yacht via SanLorenzo. Boot Düsseldorf is the largest indoor yacht show in the world.
  2. Sunseeker unveiled a new model in the Sunseeker 135 but also gave more details on other yachts they have in the works - at this year's show-. Firstly, the Sunseeker 135 is a 41-meter yacht that will look familiar to many as it is using a similar hull form that debuted around 2015 with the Sunseeker 131 model. In essence the form-factor is familiar with them reworking the stern area to incorporate the on-water beach club with fold-down terraces that is the current rage. She will be IMO Tier III compliant, RINA and MCA which makes her flexible both as private or charter. It appears as she will have a 6 cabin layout with 5 on the lower deck and the master on the main deck. Expect to see the interior done by Design Unlimited. The first Sunseeker 135 is expected to be ready by 2027.
  3. Aside from the Sunseeker 135, the yard shed some more light on two previous models in particular the Ocean 460 and the Sunseeker 120. These yachts were unveiled at previous Monaco Yacht Shows (2022 for the Ocean 460 and 2023 for the Sunseeker 120). They exposed these models again to spur further interest and garner sales potential. The yard is hoping for an order by the 3rd quarter of this year and breaking into the U.S market with it.
  4. The Grand Soleil Plus 80 is currently under construction and the first unit is expected to be ready in 2026. It is a 23.99-meter long cruise version sailing yacht which is based on the 72 and 65 Grand Soleil models but in a larger format...hence the 'Plus' in the model name. Customers can get this new yacht as the long cruise version as is the specimen under construction or the performance variant. Nauta Design is responsible for the exterior and interior design aspects while the Naval Architecture is the work of Matteo Polli. The first yacht will have twin rudders and a telescopic keel however, customers can choose a single rudder. The first hull has a 4 cabin guest layout with room for 2 crew cabins. However, clients can have a three cabin guest layout with 2 crew cabins.
  5. SanLorenzo unveiled their collaboration with MAN for the development of the first bi-fuel Green Methanol 50 X-Space yacht. The yacht is expected to be completed in 2027. The collaboration aims to yield results of a 70% reduction in navigation emissions. The project in its essence first was formulated in 2024 but is looking to still utilize MAN diesel engines coupled with Nanni generators that can run off Green Methanol/Diesel. The yacht will still have its diesel component but they are looking at strategies to reduce the emissions by pairing diesel with other cleaner forms of energy.
