We're new to this boating forum and would like to pick the brains of some knowledgible Chris Craft owners out there. We are at the point in our lives where we're considering something we swore we'd never do. Switch to a houseboat. Yes, the knees are giving out & it's getting harder & harder to go up & down all the steps in our boat not to mention crawling around in the engine room. So we are considering a houseboat where most things are all on one level. The question is we don't know what a fair price is for our boat. It is our understanding that there were very few of our model made & that are still around. It is a 1960, 43ft Steel Roamer MotorYacht. It has 431 Lincolns, 7kw Kohler gen., new radar, always been in fresh water, under covered slip for years, new carpet. We are planning on hauling it this spring & re-painting the bottom & checking it. It's in pretty fair condition for it's age. Anybody have any ideas on what a fair price would be? We would appreciate any advice you might have.
A good place to start is to post some pictures. We'd love to see them and it'd give a better idea of the condition.
