Hello , after 20 years without a boat I'm back :) very happy I was able to buy this boat and look forward to keeping her up and enjoying her . Any tips on preventive maintenance would be appreciated. Thank you in advance

thank you . Looks like the boat has not moved in 3 months or so and there is no record of maintenance of any kind .
besides a haul out for the bottom I'm not sure what to replace prior to the ride which is 80 or so miles up the ICW from Beaufort SC.
I plan to bring 12 or so fuel filters just in case , i will change the oil and inspect the bilge pumps and replace if old . Any other ideas or suggestions?

First question to you, since a new purchase.
Did you get a boat survey and an engine survey?
Engines should be 6-71s, they're pretty bullet proof but should be surveyed.

You may want to replace impellers if uncertain when they were replaced last. You definitely don’t want the engines overheating on your trip. I understand detroits in general do not like that.

You might want to flush raw water cooling system, change raw water pump impellers, and when first starting engines be prepared for stuck injectors that could cause out of control engine rpm. Your raw water cooling will be the most common issue to overheating on the trip
