  1. SanLorenzo signs two contracts at FLIBS

Italian yard SanLorenzo copped two more contracts to their build portfolio from the last yacht show in Florida, the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS). The two contracts were signed for a SD110 and a SL94. Although coming from production lines, the two megayachts are expected to be customized by their owners to their own personal tastes and whims.

The standard SD110 is just under 34-meters LOA (33.60-meter) and has a BOA of 7.66-meters. The 170-tonne yacht only draws 2.06-meters while carrying as many as ten guests and owner plus five crew. 2 X MTU 12V 2000 M72 power the standard SD110 to a top speed of 17-knots with an autonomy range of 2,750 nautical miles at a leisurely 11-knots. To make this possible her tanks have a capacity for 23,700 LT of fuel while fresh water storage is for 4,000 LT. The SD110 is pictured below this article.

The SL94 is on a slightly smaller scale but does not compromise style and fashion. She offers a spacious 6.75-meter overall beam and a slim fully-loaded draft of only 1.93-meters. Accommodation onboard is for eight guests and four crew members. The SL94 can be powered by two brands, CAT or MTU. 2 X CAT C32 Acerts or 2 X MTU 16V 2000 M84. Either way both provide peformance in this smaller package. The CAT Acerts provides a top speed of 26-knots while the above-mentioned MTUs, 29-knots. At 11-knots the range is around 1,111 nautical miles and drastically reduced to 418 nautical miles if constantly operated at 26-knots.
