  1. Vitters launches 108-foot sloop "Inouï"

The latest sail yacht has been just launched from Dutch yard Vitters. She is the striking performance sloop "Inouï". Like many of their yachts she started life at Green Marine who constructed her carbon hull and superstructure. Once the shell was completed in essence, she transfered to the Vitters yard for finishing. Now, the eye-catching sloop has been launched and in the water being prepared for sea trials.

Eye-catching? Her hull colour says it all, a bold green that enables her to stand out from the pack and showcase a very unique colour choice by her experienced owner. Her design comes via Philippe Briand as too her Naval Architecture. The experienced and well-known Andrew Winch was commissioned to tackle the interior design.
  2. At half-load the carbon-composite performance sloop weighs 85-tonnes. Mast and spars were built by Southern Spars while her sheets came from North Sails. For motoring and power Inouï has 1 x Volvo Penta D7C-B-TA engine. Inouï is 33-meters long, 6.9-meters wide and has a variable draft, 3.8-meters with the keel up and 5.4-meters extended. This performance sailing yacht now has the distinction of being the fourth carbon sailyacht built for/by Vitter. She will be handed over to her owner in June, 2013.
